“One of the gratifying developments in Arkansas art lately is the renewed attention to Kuimeaux’s work.” -- Philip Martin, Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, 11/23/2025

Dwight “Kuimeaux” Drennan’s art often depicted landscapes and life in the Delta region of Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi -- vivid scenes of beautiful bayous, fertile fields, and small towns. In November 2025, three years after his death, “Kuimeaux’s World” opened at Arkansas Historic Museum. Featuring 59 works, it is the largest-ever exhibition of his art. The exhibition runs through January 16, 2028.

This video was produced from interviews with the exhibition’s co-curators two days before the exhibition opened. It is presented in loving memory of Kuimeaux and his sister, Linda McInturff.
